Zhu Jiao Valentine

Zhu Jiao Valentine was introduced to Tai Chi Chuan at an eight week program sponsored by CMAC Toronto in 1996. On completion of the course she began training in the Niei Chi program at Hasu Dojo under the tutelage of Laoshi Patrice Williams. She started assisting with classes in January, 1998 and became an instructor in June of that year.

Zhu Jiao Valentine presently teaches Niei Chi classes at both Hasu and Sakura Dojos. She has also taught at CMAC Beaches, CMAC Kensington and CMAC Etobicoke, as well as at fitness centres and with the Toronto Board of Education. To augment her training, which is ongoing with Laoshi Williams at Hasu Dojo, she attends Niei Chi Seminars and Camps conducted by Hanshi Platt, Director of CMAC.

In 1997, Zhu Jiao Valentine completed the Chow Integrated Healing System, an intensive Qi Gong training program with Dr. Effie Chow, director of the East West Academy of Healing Arts, San Francisco, CA. In addition, she has completed several programs in healing with colour and sound, Reiki Level 1 and Reflexology.

Zhu Jiao Valentine has taken part in Martial Arts demonstrations on behalf of CMAC, such as appearances at Skydome, Toronto Street Festivals, Canada AM on CTV, and in a segment on Health and Beauty TV. Recently retired from the frenetic world of advertising, she is now devoting more time to teaching and training in Niei Chi as well as the pursuit of alternative healing therapies.
